Somerville-Donkin is located in the Tuli coalfield, northwest of the Soutpansberg coalfield, with a gross in-situ inferred resource of 274Mt.

Universal Coal is targeting a coking coal resource base in excess of 1Bt and continues to explore underground mining potential over three seams.

Development of the Somerville-Donkin coking coal project is at reconnaissance phase at present.
